Stable Double at Terang

On Tuesday we took two talented mares to Terang and came away with the best possible result, with Move the Torana and I'm Helro breaking their maidens in terrific style.
Move the Torana has been knocking on the door for quite some time and saluted at her 10th career start. Forced to go back from the widest alley, she was 20 lengths off the speed before Fred was able to make a long, sustained run on her from well before the bend. She made up an enormous amount of ground and thundered down the outside to score a much deserved victory.
It was then I'm Helro's turn in race 4 on the program. There was good speed early which enabled I'm Helro to find her feet and move into the race from a wide midfield position. A patient ride from Fred saw him save her for one last crack at them and she showed a lovely turn of foot to run them down.
Both are nice, progressive mares that can now go on with the job and win plenty more races for their owners. Thanks to all of the owners involved who have been very patient and will be rewarded going forward.
