Guerite Storms into MCC Country Final Contention

Progressive mare Guerite has today put her hand up to be a contender in the $500k MCC Country Final at Flemington on Oaks Day with a barnstorming win in the $100k MCC Country heat today at Bendigo.
After a taxing run at Horsham last start where she rolled forward from the wide gate and ran out of petrol, Fred Kersley was instructed to go back and ride for luck and what a gem of a ride he produced. Sitting close to last as they straightened, Fred was able to weave a path out into middle of the track when she rattled home for what in the end was a soft win.
Congratulations to the Rosemont team who are huge supporters of the stable. We are confident she'll be giving the final on Oaks Day a mighty shake next week!
